Archon Classic is now on the App Store!

Well,  whew.  We did it!

Archon on the App Store

The most fabulous game ever made is now officially on the App store, ready for sale at the low price of $3.99 USD until we get version 2.0 out the door, then it will be the regular price of $4.99.  Version 2 will include many little enhancements along with the 1 player campaign mode.

This first game for us was such an up and down roller coaster ride!  There were some really high points and some low points, but all-in-all, it’s a great game that I’m proud of…even though it took a lot longer than I wanted, but it’s paid off.  If you have an iPhone or iTouch, please buy it and leave your comments on the App Store comment area.  We’re counting on everyone who loves this game (the original and our version) to “make some noise” about Archon and how it needs to be on every platform.  The more noise the community makes, the easier it will be for us to go in and confidently show these different console people how there IS a desire to have this great game on their console.

I hope you like the game…it was very fun to make, test and now play.

Now, on to the next platform…PC anyone?

Just played my first game. Man i love what you’ve done with it. Gave it a 5 star rating and a review. This is a MUST HAVE for all who used to play the game.

Next platform would logically be the Mac OS X version as that would transition from the iPhone work nicely I’d think. Is network play coming to the iPhone verision? I seriously hope so! I just bought the iPhone version and will be buying the Mac OS X version when that comes out.

Just to clarify… if we buy v1 for $4, then v2 will be a free upgrade right? Not an additional $5?

All updates will be free (forever)…the $3.99 price is a bonus for the early adopters :)

I wish you could port this game to the X Box 360 Live Arcade. I would love to play this game with a joystick on my big flat screen tv. I did buy this game from the app store and i did give it a 5 rating. Thanks and keep up the great work!!!

I purchased the game immediately….great job! The port really captures the spirit and essence of the original! Please fix the bugs and rule discrepancies in this version (see the support forum for more details).

version2 hopefully gives us 2player bluetooth support

So, is it going to be able to have the strategy human-controlled, but the fights computer-controlled? (I sucked at the fighting — no joystick for me when I had my toaster Mac!) I fondly remember cheering my little knight on as it slew a dragon…
